Frequently asked questions
Is NexusNest free for students?
Yes. Searching and booking are completely free for students. You only pay your room deposit and rent to the landlord.
How do I pay, and is my deposit safe?
Deposits are paid by MTN MoMo or Airtel Money. The deposit is held securely and is refundable if the landlord cancels your booking.
What does “verified” mean?
Our team checks each landlord and listing before it goes live, confirming identity, ownership or a management agreement, and a reachable contact number. Verified landlords show a trust badge.
Which campuses are covered?
We're starting with KNU in Kabwe. Mulungushi (MU), CBU and NORTEC are in the system and will be rolled out next.
How do I know exactly where a boarding house is?
Every listing has a map pin set by the landlord and shows the real walking distance to the KNU campus.
I'm a landlord. How do I get paid?
Set your payout details (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money or bank) in your landlord dashboard. Confirmed deposits are settled to that account.
Who do I contact in an emergency?
Reach the KNU off-campus minister directly using the emergency contact on this page, available by phone or WhatsApp.
