Frequently asked questions
Is NexusNest free for students?
Yes. Searching and booking are completely free for students. You only pay your room deposit and rent under transparent, stated terms.
How do I pay, and is my deposit safe?
Deposits are paid securely by MTN MoMo or Airtel Money. NexusNest holds your deposit in secure escrow, we do not disburse funds to the landlord until you move in and verify the room. It is 100% refundable if the property is unavailable, cancelled, or not as described.
What does “verified” mean?
Every landlord and boarding house undergoes identity and property verification by our team before listing. We verify proof of ownership or tenancy rights, physical location, and inspect real room photos to ensure students are protected from scams.
Is NexusNest affiliated with the university?
NexusNest is an independent private accommodation firm. While we specialize in student housing close to campuses (KNU, MU, CBU, and NORTEC), we operate independently from university administrations to ensure fast, agile, scam-free housing with dedicated customer support.
How do I know exactly where a boarding house is?
Every listing has an exact GPS map pin verified on Google/OpenStreetMap, along with calculated walking distances to the campus gate.
I'm a landlord. How do I get paid?
Set your payout details (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, or direct bank transfer) in your landlord dashboard. Confirmed bookings are settled transparently to your designated account.
